Problems opening Excel attachments in Outlook

Hi, Everytime I try to open an excel attachment in outlook my computer
decides to hide the opened attachedment behind my outlook instead of infront
so I can see it.

So to see the attachment I have to minimise outlook , which is a pain!

Any idea why it's doing this and how to stop it?????

Thanks,
Ruth

This can happen for various reasons. Most likely you have an add-in
installed which puts Outlook on the foreground for some reason. Virus
scanners can do this as well when they are configured to integrates with
Outlook and/or other Office applications.

Can you tell me how I can check to see if it is an add on or the McAfee anti
virus we run?

Thanks

Disable their integration with Outlook and/or Office and try again. If it
works now, you found the issue.
To disable addins in Outlook see;

As for McAfee, you might need to completely uninstall it and then reinstall
it without the e-mail checker component. See the documentation provided by
McAfee on how to do it properly.
