Problems Installing Xp SP1a

The following problem was encountered while I was trying to install service
pack 1a. The computer was about 20% to 25% completed in "Backing up files"
at the beginning of the upgrade. The error message read "Setup cannot copy
the file mstvgs.dll". It was follow by "Ensure that the location specified
below is correct, or change it and insert 'Windows XP System Files' in the
drive you specify."

I found the file "mstvgs.dll" in folder C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32

The same error message came back.

You local copy of Service Pack 1a may be bad. Have you tried to get a fresh
copy?

I tried installing Service Pack 1a from a disk and also by the "Easy
Installation." procedure in Microsoft's website.
