Problems importing pst file

Mike

Upon importing, I'm getting the error: "The file is not a personal
folders file".
I've scoured Google and it looks like the problem is when I first
exported the .pst file, I copied it to another server without closing
Outlook.

The computer that I originally exported it from is gone. All I have
left is a new computer and this .pst file that won't import.

Is there any solution to copying a .pst file while Outlook is still
open, or is the file corrupted beyond hope?

Thanks,
Mike

p.s. It's not read only :)

You cannot copy a .pst file while it is still open. It will corrupt. Also,
do not import it on the new machine - use File->Open->Outlook Data File to
reuse the .pst .

Try file, open on the Outlook menu instead of importing. It should appear at
the bottom of the folder list in Folder View.

I gave that a shot, but still get the same error. It's clearly
corrupted. Is there any chance of repairing the file? I've tried
Repair Toolkit with no success.
Thanks,
Mike
