I have a AMD Athlon64 3200+(2GHZ 512K L2 cache) processor, however when I
tried to boot from a Windows Vista 64 bit version DVD, the instalation
process stop in the very beginning. It just display a typical Vista green
screen amd the computer stopped working. But I can install a 32 bit version
smoothly without any problem.Does any one know what is the problem?

i have the same CPU 3200+ 939 but running at 2.4Ghz, i have x64 5744 Vista
installed and runn so sweat,(with the help of my 4Gigs of memory) sound like
a driver issue, try turning hardwarer (sound, printer port....)if you have a
sound card installed then take it out, hope this helps.

From what I've read. x64 is M$ step child and gets the back seat. I was
able to install on the same CPU, but don't ever get audio, modem, and card
reader drivers...x32 does just fine though...go figure. Maybe your iso
didn't burn well...try another burn at slower speeds.

Well, it seems that there is no 64 bit driver for my DVD drive.
And I cant turn it off, of course.
Anyway, thanks for your help
