problemi con windows vista mail

Salve non riesco piu a scaricare la posta da windows mail,mi da il seguente
errore: Impossibile connettersi al server. Account: 'Posta di Daniele',
Server: 'in.alice.it', Protocollo: POP3, Porta: 110, Protezione (SSL): No,
Errore socket: 10061, Numero di errore: 0x800CCC0E,qualcuno sa darmi la
soluzione a questo problema?

Had to send my laptop off to HP. When it was returned I had to start all
over again, however, I can't get my vista mail to work. I get the message
below, what can I do????

this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'mail.comcast.net',
Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): Yes, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

That server does not use the SSL option.
Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Advanced.
Uncheck the SSL box for the incoming (POP3) server.
