What are you doing with Windows Mail when this happens?
Have you installed all of the updates for Vista?
How long has this been happening?
Does your antivirus application include active email scanning?

Hi Rick,

I posted a fix for my problem a few days ago, but it seems that it didn't
get up.

The problem that I first posted and you replied to seems to be replicated
when I install the Windows update for Nvidia Sata drivers.

When I install the newest release from Nvidia my system runs fine with any
lockups and is fine now.
