Problem with XP SP2

My wif'e computer just started exhibiting a strange problem. When she tried
copying a file across the network she got a Windows dialog screen stating
the application caused an error and needs to shut down. This just started
happening this past week, and all questionable apps she installed have
already been removed.

This has happened to the best of my knowldge USed MS word and well has
Windows Explorer

Any help is apprciated. It was happening in Internet Explorer but I was
abled to track it down to the Norton Toolbar and I have that disabled from
manage add-ons.

Thanks in advance

You haven't given enough information to get a reasonable answer. For one
thing I suggest you remove any Norton/Symantec home products. Beyond that
you need to provide more info.
