Problem with wireless network

P

Hi,

I have a small wireless network based on Netgear's access point WG 602 v3,
which is only connected to the power plug.
The network is made up of three computers ('A', 'B' and 'C') running Windows
XP.
Computer 'A' is connected to the Internet through an ADSL Ethernet modem (no
router) and it shares this connection.
All IP addresses are assigned dynamically.
'Simple file sharing' is turned off on 'A'.
Eveyrthing worked fine (I could access shared folders and the Internet
through any computer) until I had to reload XP from scratch on 'A'.
After this operation the computers still connect to the network, but they do
not receive an IP address. I finally get a 'limited or absent connectivity'
warning and, of course, nothing works.
Netgear's italian assistance suggested that I should assign static IP
addresses to the wireless connections; this solved the problem of accessing
shared folders, but I cannot browse from 'B' and 'C', although the Internet
connection is opened on 'A' when it receives a request from either of the
other computers.
Looks like I missed something in the configuration of XP, but I cannot
figure out what.
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance.
