hi guys...
something's wrong with my comp.

everything works fine, but out of nowhere my screen will
turn blue and say
"ntfs.sys - address f83e77ff base at f83e7000, datestamp
3b7dc5d0.

beginning dump of physical memory:" and then numbers
starting counting.

what's wrong with my comp?!
thanx a lot,
-chris

I would try checking your memory. I had a similar
problem in the past and it turned out by slowing down my
memory timing I was able to ge tit to work. Don't know
if that is the problem but this is a suggestion.

My guess, based on having the same problem is:
You may have a "bug" in your hard drive. I was told even a total format
wouldn't fix it. Anyway, in my home built system, when I had this problem,
which I have never had before, EVER (on any other system), over the course
of one year, I formatted my HD twice, I replaced my mother board twice, my
ram, rearranged IRQ settings by moving cards around, deleting unnecessary
software, blah, blah, blah. The only thing I didn 't do was replace my hard
drive. The problem would "go away" for a while, then surface again, and
seemed to "happen all the time" until I made some major change here or
there. I ended up buying a new system. Later, when bored, I returned to my
funked machine, and I put in an old hard drive as my primary drive, and used
my original hard drive as the slave. Hey, guess what? No problem since. I
recently asked a "tech" at Best Buy, as a lark, what my problem had been,
just to see if the "tech" would know what he was talking about. He replied
that I had a "bug" that couldn't be removed. His answer really seemed to
address my problem. So, try a new HD or add one as the primary drive and see
what happens.

Hi, im having the exact same problem
The driver file that appears in the blue screen changes every once in a while, and im not the only one between my friends having the same problems, so im gonna tell you what i HAVE done that didn't work

I´ve reinstalled windows (haven't tried a full format yet
I have updated all my drivers (cuz windows update drivers are really not the best) including graphics card driver, chipst drivers, motherboard frivers and processor drivers, i even updated my BIOS as rcommended in the crash event to the administrator

when I updated the drivers, the blue screen stoped to appear so often, and took a long time to appear again, giving me the stupid "i've fixed a huge problem" feeling
Everything i do seems to work for a wile, than it comes back. as soon as i can borrow a friends HD im gonna try to fully format the HD

MSDN has a post about this exact blue screen, but they tont tell you how to fix it check out:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/ddtools/hh/ddtools/bcintro_58tv.as

I can tell you for sure that punching the computer when the blue screen appears might not work, but it releases the stress, and it have beeing the thing Im doing the most about the BSOD

If anyone has a permanent , or long lasting solution to this please e-mail me
Thanks a lo
ill try to keep this posts informed.

i found some good stuff on the web
check out
msdn.microsoft.com/librar
than go to
windows development > Driver development kit > Driver development tools > bug check codes
select the bug check code you get in the blue creen, and try to fix your problem

the msdn is very useful, and has a lot of tools that might help you
another good site to visit is www.microsoft.com/whd
there are lots of useful tools there.
