problem with scrolling on laptop

I just had to reinstall my OS and now the scrolling
function on my dell inspiron 5100 is not working. When I
try to use the scrolling function by sliding my finger
down the right side of the mouse pad, nothing happens,
unlike how it did in the past. Do I have to reinstall a
driver or change a setting? I am confused about what
heppened and need some suggestions. Thanks Matt.

Make sure you install the drivers for your touchpad. Dell usually ships
a Resources CD with their machines. Install the Resources CD and look
for the touchpad drivers. Follow instructions to install them.
