Problem with one web page loading

My local homepage for Road Runner Cable service will not
load. The inner frame is solid blue, and in the lower
left hand frame it says 'error', then switches and
says 'done'. All other web pages, including those with
flash, work properly. I have tried deleting cookies and
temp files, shutting down firewall (ZoneAlarm Pro) and
anti-virus (McCaffee), with no luck. I spoke with the
tech at RR and they told me there is a lot of 'Flash' on
the page. The tech person suggested it may have to do
with Java Script.

Several years ago, I had a similar problem while running
Win 98. The solution was to delete the 'hosts' folder in
Windows. Is there a similar file in XP?

By the way, my other computer, hooked to the same router,
connects to the RR homepage without any problem.

Thanks for any help you can give me

My guess is you have some anonimous spyware working
behind the scenes (see my message "taking out the
trash"). My problem was similar to yours and
removing "Hotbar" helped. Whatever this program was, it
didn't show up as a process running. If someone solves
your problem, please forward solution to me,
(e-mail address removed). Thanks
