problem with Notepad - Arabic support

Dear All

I am using notepad on win xp home edition to develop some text files. (I
must save them in ANSI format)
In Regional settings , advanced tab , I have selected Arabic (U.A.E.) to be
the language used for non-unicode programs.

My problem is when I try to type ceratin arabic words , notepad does not
show it - Even if I change the setting to English (USA), It still does not
show them.

As an example , the arabic words (actually vowels) that I can not type - as
on English keyboard - are :

shift+w
shift+e
shift+~

By the way , I can type all of the characters in Microsoft word.

Please advise.

Thank you

This may depend on the font you use. I use Arabic transparent
and I have no problem in adding fathah, kasrah and dammah to
my consonants.
