Problem with MS Office document imaging program

The program Microsoft Office Document Imaging has stopped sending scanned
text to Word 2007. It worked for a while, but now it freezes when I try to
send text and displays the following message: “Error while sending text to
Word. Please verify that Word is properly installed. It also displays the
message “This action cannot be completed because the “Document1-Microsoft
Word non-commercial use†program is not responding. Choose “Switch To†and
correct the problemâ€. Since the program freezes, I can’t exit to fix the
problem.

Repair office - then see

any add-ins you have installed are compatible and working correctly.

Office Diagnostics did not find any problems. I deleted all the temp files
per the What to do when Word Crashes link. Word still crashes (freezes) when
I use Microsoft Office Document Imaging program to send text to Word 2007

Temporarily rename normal.dotm to oldnormal.dotm and see if that helps.
There is nothing inherent in the Document Imaging/Word relationship that
should cause it to crash. The most obvious issues concern setup anomoloies
from templates and add-ins. Although slanted towards earlier versions, the
tips at http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProbsOpeningWord.htm remain
relevant.
