Problem with Microsoft Picture Manager

Hi

I need help FAST on this one. I used Microsoft Picture Manager to edit my
holiday photos and saved them. At first, everything was okay, but now I
cannot open the photos.

I have copied them onto a CD but that won't open either.

Is there any way I can retreive them?

I have noticed that the photos are saved as BMP, not JPG. Why is that, and
can I change that if I can get my phots back.

Please help me.

hmm?

Could be a couple of issues
with your problem.

However, something that may
help identify the problems as well
as to help with opening those pics
would be to see if another program
can provide you with some quick results.

I suggest that you try accessing yours
pics with a freeware called Picasa and
available from Google.com

I use it in addition to MSPicMgr
and it would be a nice addition to
your picture tools.

Also, copy the contents of the cd
to a new folder on your harddrive and
use the tool to view the pics in both
locations.

Then provide us with your results, please.

I have put the pic's into Picassa2 but I can't seem to put them into two
different folders.

At least I can view them.
