Problem with mcafee

Hi,

I have a problem with my Dell notebook ( dell Latitude 110L),

I did install mcafee 8.0i, and after word I get alot of messages that I have
virus on my PC, when I looked at the messages closly I sow that macfee see
all of the .exe's from diffrent programs as virus (e.g. c:\program
files\internet explorer\iexplor.exe)

So I didn't take any chanc and reformat the notebook and Install the XP sp2
again, but when I installed the mcafee a get the same messages of virus.

So how can this be possible? if there was a virus ( there was not any in
first place) after reformat and clean install of XP sp2 it sholud be removed
am I right? why I get the messages regarding the virus? I did install the
older version of mcafee but with the same result.

Any idea what is gonig on here?
