Problem with Intel 852GM and ICH4 chipset

I try to build a XPe configuration on a system with Intel 852GM and ICH4
chipset. Now i have two problems.

1. Video driver
I can not install the video driver. I tried the XPe component from the
hardware vendor and the standard XP Pro driver. Both did not install
properly. The XP pro driver stopped in setup without error message. Does
anybody have a solution, or a tested driver componend?

2. SMBus
Chipset seems to be installed properly. The SMBus Controller is shown
correct as 82801DB/DBM in device manager. But when i want to read out the
system temperatures with Speedfan or Motherboard monitor both programms
failed to find the SMBus device. Does anybody has a solution for this?
