Problem with geforce mx 440 ?

Hello. I am having problems with my geforce mx 440 agp
4x. When i install the nvidia 61.77 drivers and restart.
It seems that the refresh rate is to high. Because my
screen will flicker and shut off and turn back on and
flicker more etc. I also tried MSI's Latest drivers and
still nothing. So i tried windows update and it seemed to
fix the problem? Is there a difference between drivers?
Or has anyone heard of this problem or know how to fix
it? Please post if you can help me out. And thank you.
Have a good day.

I also notice if i go directly to MSI's website and
download the exact geforce mx 440SE-T drivers which are
45.32 but it makes no sense because i can't use nvidia's
or MSI's live update one, The only ones that work are
windows update (don't know why i just thought it went
directly to nvidia's site) And the MSI 45.32 driver for
my card. Anyone know why it's doing this?

I've noticed that the 45.32 drrivers from MSI's website
work fine. I can run my highest screen resolution and in
the msi tab in properties it tells me everything about my
card ( agp speed etc.) Even the overclocking works. Makes
no sense because i got the card from a buddy and thought
it was just broken but it works with a certian drivers
but not new ones? Even windows certified ? Service pack 2
problem? But i think i even tried without service pack 2
because i just reinstalled it again. Well anyone that can
help if not the mx 440 is pretty useless anyways and i
will have to use old crap drivers till i upgrade my p.o.s
computer ;) Thanks guys have a nice day.

Any idea what would cause this?

I've been having a similar problem after downloading a windows update
for my MX 420 so I've just rolled back the drivers to the old ones.
Guess I'll have to go NVidia's website & see what I can find.

I'm not looking forward to it, the odds on my screwing things up are
astronomocally high

'sigh'

Nope the nVidia 61.76 drivers do not work either ?

Are these drivers signed? If not, download the last SIGNED drivers for
your card. The latest drivers may not have necessarily been fully
tested....

The 61.76 drivers are signed, the 61.77 drivers are not. This is why I
posted the drivers for 61.77 instead of 61.77 ;)
