problem with folder?

trend5

My Shared Documents folder(in My Computer) has changed
its name- earlier it was 'Shared Documents'(default), and now became
just
'Documents'. My configuration and all settings is default, no any
changes or renaming. We have 4 PCs in LAN, they can access my Shared
docs normally. Also, in Network Places my 'SharedDocs on .. ' -
display in normal way.
Is that system problem or virus issue?

Could I solve this problem by do a 'System restore' for the date
before this problem occurs? What is more preferable, safe way to solve
this?

I have no idea if System Restore will fix this.

Save the attached file (desktop.ini). Drag it into

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents

if you get a message stating that desktop.ini already exists, do you want to
replace it? Answer Yes.

Or you can copy and paste desktop.ini into the above folder.

The desktop.ini for Shared Folders contains these two lines...

Thank you. This help. However, its unlear what's the reason of
desktop.ini file corruption. My 'Shared Documents' folder is very
large size 1.23GB, since contain big (1.05GB)size 'My Music' folder.
Is there a sense move the 'My Music' folder out of 'Shared Documents'
to some other folder?

Thanks.

Moving My Music folder will not fix the problem.

The Shared Documents folder gets its name from the desktop.ini file.
Without the correct desktop.ini, the name of Shared Documents is just
Documents.

I have no idea why the desktop.ini could become corrupted. Nor do I
care. It happens. If it didn't, there wouldn't be articles like
this...
