Problem with folder view

Oliver Costich

I just moved from XP Pro 32-bit to Vista Business 64-bit. I am trying
to change the view setting (to details) but when I go to Folder
Options and click the View tab. the Apply To Folders button is grated
out so I can't change anything. Help!!

Hello Oliver,

You will need to open "Folder Options" from within that window you want
to apply this to instead of from the Control Panel in order for it not
to be grayed out.

You may find METHOD TWO in this tutorial helpful to.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Thanks. I'm sorry but I am not understanding. How do you open Folder
Options from within the window? My goal is to get Windows Explorer to
always open in Detailed View. Does not the link give a method for
resetting to defaults? What am I not getting?
