Problem with exiting Outlook. Only Task Manager works

I am unable to exit from Outlook using either the "X" or File Exit ... I can
only close the Outlook by using Task Manager. This started happening only
recently after I reloaded Office 2000 from original CDs (I had to do this
after I decided to uninstall the evaluation copy of Office 2003) I've now
uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2000 twice more but continue to have the
same issue with exiting from Outlook. Any ideas ?

I already wrote an reply to similar question. - I had a problem with
firewall settings ( panda ). If you have a firewall pls send me a message
and i can give you some details.
