Hi Friends : I have XP Pro in my computer and I'm trying to setup the
ethernet adapter with a static IP ( 192.168.1.10 ) but I can't browse my LAN
( no domain, just a workgroup ).... I can ping the localhost ( 127.0.0.1 )
and get the usual response, but when I try to ping the adapter addres (
192.168.1.10 ) I get the timeout answer.....

I will appreciate any help...... tnks.

Check the IPs of the other computers - simple anser they all need to be in
the same subnet {192.168.1.x}
Check the cable
How are the computers connected?
