Problem with cookie or something...HELP!!!!

Larry

I have a url that seems stuck in my computer that I can't get rid of.
It is http://www.goregasm.com/openlink.php?=9804. It is there even
when I delete files and cookies and clear history. I have searched my
registry with no matches to "goregasm". I have done searches on my
hard drive for it. I have ran the latest version of Norton Anti-Virus
and I have the Windows XP Firewall turned on. If I type a "g" in the
IE address bar, this url pops up and it is nothing but a porn site.
How does something like this get attached to your computer in such a
way that you can't find it or get rid of it? Does anyone know how to
get rid of this?

Thanks Mike. I ran through all of that (good info and tools!) to no
avail. Finally found it! In Tools/Internet Options/Content/Auto
Complete. I cleared out the Auto Complete and it went away.
