Problem with Categories. Please help!

I have a large list for email distribution, and have saved it both as a category (there are some duplicates in other categories) and a distribution list.

Is there a way to save the distribution list, but not display all of the names in my contacts address book?

I also would like to delete the category when synchronizing to my cell phone. I just don't need that data.

You can do this by creating a separate Contact folder you use for storing
distributionlist and keep the individual contacts in the other folder.

Depending on the synchronisation software but you can most likely not leave
out the Category data unless you remove it from the original contacts.
