Problem with AVG 7 Free Edition

Hi all,

I'm having a problem with AVG 7 Free Edition on a family XPpro SP2
workstation which has multiple user accounts. The current AVG program
version is 7.0.308 (the latest AFAICT). The computer is also running
ZoneAlarm Pro version 5.5.062.004.

Periodically since mid February, someone will log on and see what
appears to be a minimized window in the task bar. It is labeled
"Avg70InetClass" and does not respond to any mouse clicks (left or
right).

Twice when this happened the control center icon was also grayed out
due to the virus database being out of date, but on several occasions
everything has appeared to be normal except for this phantom window in
the task bar.

Both times the window appeared coinciding with an old database,
attempts to manual update failed in all accounts *except* the one from
which AVG was originally installed. The others times AVG appeared to
work normally from all accounts, but the only way to clear the window
from the task bar was to reboot.

I am running the same configuration in my home office computer without
any problems whatsoever. AFAICT there is no infection, spyware or
other insidious crap installed on the system having problems. Apart
from the number of user accounts and some additional development
software installed on my office computer, the systems are identical
(the kids have yet another computer for playing games and whatnot -
the family system is reserved for homework, etc. and for my wife to
use).

I have Googled for "Avg70InetClass" and found nothing. Is there
anyone who has seen the likes of this and can offer advice on a
solution?

Thank you,
George

My guess is that you have the W32.HLLW.Moega virus and it is messing your
system up.
