problem with aol or aim mail, can't send

can't get outlook express 6 to send mail threw my aol account, tried
changeing outgoing mail (smtp) to 587 and changing "my server requires
authentication", please help or advise on another free email service that i
can access with outlook

This newsgroup suppots Outlook, not Outlook Express. OE is part of Internet
Explorer. You can post your question here:

AOL has instructions for special settings on their help pages. But you'd be
better off using AOL's mail client.
