problem with AiW 8500DV recordings.

This past Tuesday I recorded three separate shows with my AiW 8500DV because
I would not be home to see the shows. When I click on each of the files the
player starts and I can hear the audio but there is no TV window (just the
controls).

The file sizes are ~3GB in size (one hour shows, mpg format) so it would
appear that the video was saved. I went into the Guide Plus and told it to
record a show. Checked it and there is sound AND video for that file.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

Yes, I tried and got an error saying 'error downloading codec'. Then it
starts with the audio and no video.
