Problem with a Linked Table

I have a table I've Imported from another database as a .CVS file. After I've
imported it, I've linked it. I'd like to get into the Linked table design and
change the indexes. Access says the properties can't not be modified.

I also looked in Link Specification in the Link Tables screen and Index is
not listed as an option. I have Field Type, Data Type and Skip.

How do I handle this?
Thanks

I think that we have a terminology problem here. You are talking about
importing a CVS file (csv or comma seperated value I bet) AND linking to this
file. Which is it?

Have you actually imported the file INTO an Access database and, if so, is
it the same database where you are trying to change the properties?

You can not change much in the way of properties of a linked table within
the database that's using the link.

If you imported the CVS file into another Access database, you must open
that database and change the properties there.

If it's still just a link to the CVS file that's external to the database,
you need to import the data into a table to index it.
