Problem with 2 simultaneous VPN connections

Greg

When working from home, I need to set up 2 outbound PPTP
VPN connections (1 to the office, the other to the
datacenter). Shortly after making the second VPN
connection, Microsoft AntiSpyware always gives the
following warning:

Microsoft AntiSpyware has detected a new Layered Service
Provider (LSP) has been added. Although most Winsock LSPs
are created by legitimate programs such as many antivirus
programs, LSPs are sometimes manipulated by spyware
applications known as Winsock Hijackers. LSPs are a way
to intercept or modify all Internet and network data.

I've told it that I want it to ignore this and remember
it, but I continue to get the warning every time I open
the 2nd connection.

I've just reproduced this, using plain-vanilla PPTP VPN's set up via the XP
networking ui.

I'll see if I can flag this in case it can be corrected, but it may well not
be able to be changed--and the wording of the warning seems appropriate. I
also suspect that the ignore setting probably doesn't work for technical
reasons--the entity created probably is new each time.
