Problem when opening MM

Everytime I open Windows Movie Maker 2.1 I get an error message saying that
it has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have tried restoring to
the day before and also reinstalling SP2. What should I do? It seems to
have to do something with qedit.dll.

The following article includes some info on qedit.dll,
maybe it will offer some ideas:

If the QEDIT.DLL fix doesn't work, and it usually does, then try simply
moving or renaming any projects you have saved.
If Movie Maker options are set up to automatically load the last project
worked on and there's a problem with that project
then this is sometimes the result. If the project is gone altogether (which
is why you move or rename) then WMM can't
load it and the program should start normally.

None of those seemed to work. I tried moving the files and no success. This
is getting so frustrating. I may have to give WMM the axe
