Problem Viewing Pages after creating links

I have a table listing many photographs on the index or home page. I want to
create a link to each photo. Why is it that with some photos, after I have
created the link, when I use Control/Click to view the web page the page does
not appear. Instead, a message “Editing Selected Pictures†appears at the
top of the screen. I can choose Auto Correct and/or Save and Close on this
screen, which will exit Microsoft Picture Manager, but I can still not view
the web page. I don’t want to edit the photo. That has already been done.
Why is this going to Microsoft Picture Manager. I have never had this
problem before.

Did you import the images into FP website first?

Are you linking to the picture, or to a page containing the picture. If
the link is direct to the picture then Ctrl+Click on a link in design
view will open the image for editing, using whatever graphic editor is
set up in FrontPage for that purpose.
To view the image in a browser, Preview (in browser) the home page and
click the links there.
