Problem using Parameters with Substitution

T

ted

Hello.

Using frontpage I'm trying out the TOOLS>>WEB SETTINGS>>PARAMETERS
feature.

I do that...I enter a NAME and VALUE for my parameter.

Then I go to INSERT>>WEB COMPONENT>>INLCLUDED CONTENT>>SUBSTITUTION

I then choose my parameter from the list and it is inserted in my web
page.

So far so good. I can preview the page without any problems and even
view it locally on my browsers.

When I upload the page in place of the text that I should see, that
which I HAVE been seeing during the preview and local browser viewing,
instead I get the parameters NAME.

Any ideas what's going on?

Recap:
--------------------------
For parameter NAME i enter: Company title
For parameter VALUE i enter: XYZ INCORPORATED

During frontpage preview and/or local browser preview i see: XYZ
INCORPORATED

Once uploaded, where I once saw XYZ INCORPORATED, I now see: Company
title

The key is you say you are "uploading" the page - but How?
The web parameters are only Passed to the online web in FP when you Publish the FP web
