problem sending email

This is an odd one. I'm running Outlook 2000 for some time now. I have just
recently installed Broadband (not sure if this is just a coincendience with
my issue). I can receive email, but not send to certain addresses. I know the
addresses are correctly entered. I get the following error message.
"This message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected
by the server. Server Response: '553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of
allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)' (Account: 'mail2.eircom.net', SMTP Server:
'mail2.eircom.net', Error Number: 0x800ccc79)

I use zone alarm firewall software (but have been for some time without
difficulty)and have outlook configured with permission to access the
internet.

The strangest part of this is that I have XP Home configured for 2 users. If
I login as the 2nd User (both with Admin rights), I can send mail no problem.
When I switch users back, I can then send outgoing mail. When I
restart/shutdown, the problem arises again.

Any suggestions?

You're not properly authenticating to your outgoing server.

I, too, am having problems sending e-mails after many weeks with no problems.
I am using Verizon DSL, and have three @Verizon.net identities with
corresponding separate identities in Outlook 2003. I can send and recieve
e-mails to and from two of the identities, no problem, however the third
identitiy sometimes sends, sometimes doesn't send. Those that are sent,
appear momentarily in the Outbox under todays date. Those that won't send
appear under "Date:none." I am doing nothing differently in either case, and
can sometimes get an unsent e-mail sent by simply cut-and-pasting the "To,"
"Subject," and content into a "New" e-mail and clicking send. If a
cut-and-pasted copy sends, why wouldn't the original "New" e-mail send?
