Hello,
This is weird. I have a brand new Dell PC with Vista Ultimate loaded. Last
night (like every other night I've had the machine over the past month or so)
I put the machine into sleep mode. This morning I can get nothing but the
following DOS-type message on screen:
The last attempt to resume the system from its previous location failed.
Attempt to resume again?
1. Continue with system restore.
2. Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu.
I have only chosen option #1 since I am unsure of what option #2 actually
does. When choosing option #1, the machine does nothing but go to a black
screen with a blinking underscore in the upper lefthand corner.
The only thing I can think that has changed is that I loaded some HP imaging
software for my printer yesterday that had a compatability issue with Vista.
I would love to remove the software to see if that is the culprit, but I
can't get the OS to load.
Any thoughts?
