Problem printing Word document with embedded Excel worksheet

I am unable to print a Word document with an embedded worksheet. The
original worksheet is 19 KB, the Word document is 547 KB (with the worksheet
embedded), but when I send it to the network printer, the print queue
displays the document as 7.31 MB/ 7.46 MB.

Any ideas why this is happening? I tried linking the object next, but got
the same file size sent to the printer, while the Word document actually
increased in size slightly over the embedded version.

I tried the Compress... button in the image format dialog, too.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!!

On further investigation, I determined that the file size expansion was due
to an embedded graphic object. When inserted as a Word drawing object, file
disk size grew from about 89 KB to 550 KB, then 7.31 MB in the print queue.
When I pasted the object in as a jpeg, the file stayed at about 99 KB. When
I finally pasted it in as "picture", file disk size grew to 384 KB, then to
4.5 MB in the print queue. Now I'm just curious about why the file grows so
much!!!

Thanks anyhow~
