problem opening excel file from disk

J

Jessica

When I tried to open one of my excel files from my floppy
disk, I received this error message:

filename cannot be accessed. The file may be read-only, or
you may be trying to access a read-only location. Or, the
server the document is stored on may not be responding.

The file is not a read-only file, and I don't know if I am
trying to access a read-only locations. I cannot figure
out how to fix it and it is a very important file for me.
Does anyone have any suggestions??

Thanks.

Yes, copy the file to your hard drive. It a copy won't work, scandisk the
floppy to repair it. Do the thorough one. Attempt to open with 2002; it
has the best recovery. Email it to me if you still can't open it at
(e-mail address removed) and I'll try a repair utility on it.
