Dear Sirs,
Problem is encountered when running Windows XP Home
edition (original). For the first time and while
connected to Singtel (my local service provider) on a
dial-up basis, an error message appears after 2 mins -
"This shutdown was initiated by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM.
Time before shutdown:00:00:59 windows must now restart
because the remote procedure call (RPC) service
terminated unexpectedly. Failure in the Remote Procedure
Call" (RPC) forces the computer to shut down within 1
minute and restart. Is this a failure of the Windows XP?
My address is: (e-mail address removed)
Thanks in advance.

Yours faithfully,

Cheong Io
