problem installing printer

I recently tried to install an officejet g85 'all in one' printer on my
laptop that has windows xp. - setup was completed. Then tried to
install it on another laptop that has vista on it. Seemed to install ok
but, couldn't get it to print. Uninstalled using the 'remove programs'
option. This appeared to work. Then I tried to re-install but a message
came up saying that it was already installed and that I'd have to use
the un-install program to delete it. Checked and it was removed. Can't
seem to figure out why I'm getting this message. If anyone has any
suggestions I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

HP usually has a cleanup utility for their installations. Look on their
website. Make sure the printer is really compatible with Vista if you want
to try and install it and if it is, get the latest Vista drivers from HP's
website.

Thanks - installed cleanup utilities - looks like it's cleared it up.
