problem in xp work in 98

i have 2 operting syetem 98 and xp..in xp whenever i lop in it will aut
shut down the computer when i inter in xp and in 98 all works...n
problem in 98..

Hello Haku,

It would appear your XP has a critical error loading in or just after the login. And that XP is still set to "reboot / restart after error condition".

Tap & repeat tapping the F8-Function key before Windows XP even begins to load. You want to be able to select XP's Safe Mode.
suggest 2 things: (a) Disable automatic restart, (b) try Safe mode.

When the pc is booting up (after the BIOS has done its POST test and
before Windows starts loading),
Tap F8 Function key to get bootup options. Tap & keep repeat tapping F8 !

You will actually see "Disable automatic restart on system failure" as an option .
Select that and give it a try.

Once restart on failure is disabled, you should get a STOP error with
text --- at the next problem.
Write it all down, and then start searching for the final solution.
