My office have 70 staffs, all client PC running Win2K Pro & Outlook 2000.
I just setup
- One Win2K Server DC (Configured DNS, Global Catalog)
(Xeon 2.4 x 2, 1.5GB RAM, 3 x 72GB RAID-5); and
- One Exchange 2K (Xeon 2.4 x 2, 2GB RAM, 3 x 72GB RAID-5).
* These 2 servers connect to a switch using 1000Base-T,
client PCs connect to the switch using 100Base-T.
* All client PCs set the DNS (DC Server's IP) already.

# Now, I've two problems:
1. The client PC when start the Outlook, it will freeze and display no
response
in task manager, maybe after 30 secs.~ 5mins, it will running again. I
try
to use Outlook 2002, it will display the "waiting for response" windows.
This situation always occur in :
- Starting Outlook
- Open Global Address List
- Closing Outlook
But sometimes occur although you don't do anything.
2. Because the above problem, I try to use Outlook Express (POP3), but
when it start to authorizing, it will wait a long time (30 secs. ~ 3
mins.).

My SI checking these problem for a long time, but they still cannot solve
the
problem. But my boss is very dissatisfied! I hope somebody can help me!
Thanks a lot !!!

Could be a problem with your DNS or other networkconfiguration. Use the ping
command to see if it can resolve the server both ways (on name and IP) or
try adding the Exchange IP-address in the Host-file of the client.
