Problem importing a csv file

I need to import a .csv file into access. I know how to import it, but
access won't import some of the fields properly. The first field is a name
and access will on some fields not import the name correctly.
Example: It is supposed to be J_GFS, but Access will only import _GFS. It
only does it on a hand full of fields but it is critical that I have the
first letter imported.

Hi Bryan,

This sort of problem is almost always caused by some kind of irregularity in
the text file. Open it in a text editor and look hard at the records that
are not being imported properly and the records immediately preceding them.
If there's no visible problem there, try using a hex editor (e.g. Hexedit).
