Problem generating thumbnails for photo gallery slide show

I'm trying to create a slide show in photo gallery, but while thumbnails are
generating, it hangs up. The other layout types in photo gallery work fine.
I've used the slide show layout before on the previous version of Frontpage,
but 2003 isn't cooperating. Any ideas?

You must have a *web* open.

Here's an even better slide show, I use these scripts all the time. They work
great with FP and all other web desing programs. www.dynamicdrives.com The
code is easy copy paste and most of the time all you have to change is the
locations of the pictures within your website structure. =o)

Which script are you using??

how large are the images it's creating thumbs from??
If the files are too large they won't be good for internet viewing and FP
will hang as it tries to read them all
how much RAM on your comp??

Speaking of which is there any way to allocate more memory than the default
allowed by FP?
Like in Photoshop you can tell the program how much resources you want to
allocate??

Oh that's it. The pictures are on other pages you are not "showing" to FP
as above use OPEN WEB not open and select only one page
the slideshows generate several pages in numbered folders

one crappy thing about using java shows is that in design mode you won't be
able to see how they look and fit on the page.
In the FP show you can see the first frame and thumbnails they way it will
look.
