Problem e-mail

Whenever I launch Outlook 2003 it becomes unresponsive. I believe it may be
due to a problem with the first e-mail in my Inbox.

When I start Oulook it tries to open this 1st e-mail in the preview pane but
appears unable to do so. Clicking the 2nd e-mail or changing folders leads to
the application becoming unresponsive and I then have to close it.

Is there any way to delete this 1st e-mail on my Inbox?

Start Outlook in safe mode and delete or move it;
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe
