I am using Windows XP Professional with SP2.

I recently had a problem with McAfee SpamKiller in McAfee Internet Security
Suite 2005, causing me to uninstall and then reinstall SpamKiller, which now
appears to work OK.

However, since this change, every time that I log off or restart windows or
close windows, before these actions take place I get the following error
message:

CiceroUIWndFrame: DLPSP.EXE Application Error
Instructions at "0x7473669f" referenced memory at "0x5c2c3b7c". The memory
could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program. Click Cancel to
debug.

Regardless of whether I click OK or Cancel, or simply wait about 20 seconds
or so, the logoff, restart or close down then proceeds (i.e. I can't get into
debug mode). But, obviously, what I really want to do is to understand what
the rootcause of the problem is and rectify it.

I would get rid of all the McAfee stuff. There are plenty of free a/v,
a/sw programs available that don't bog the system down so badly and
cause problems. I use AVG Free, Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D, all free for
home use.

Steve,

Thanks for response, but cost is not the issue. Admittedly, McAfee
software is heavy on processing, but I have been using it for many years, and
more than once has proved its worth in protecting my PC's. I'd rather get to
the bottom of this issue before I consider changing software supplier.

JTC

Next time do not use McAfee ware. There are free utils that do the same
that dont screw up your pc.

Problem now resolved and had nothing whatsoever to do with McAfee despite the
sequence of events. The offendng item was a piece of Dell printer software
which, when suppressed resolved the problem. The system has now returned to
working perfectly satisfactorily with McAfee software intact.
