"Problem Copying" huh?

I have been using my laptop to take pictures from my camera then later back
the files up on disk. But the past few times I have tried, I get a message
indicating my files cannot be copied to CD.
"Windows encountered a problem....what do you want Windows to do?"
Help?
I tried it on entire file, and I tried it on a single picture.
Thanks in advance.
