Problem after reinstall the WIn2000 server ......... Help !!

I try to reinstall the Win2000 Server because the old one is crashed. After
I complete the installation and all configuration, I find all WinXP
computer cannot login to the Win2000 server. I can join the domain account
on each computer but that will loss all personal settings on each
computer. Please help !! Also, How can I restore the files permission
from tape to the new server and dosen't need to setup one again.

If you re-installed you ONLY DC then yes, you have created
a BRAND NEW domain.

Even if you gave it the same name, it is a NEW domain.

Unless you have another (old) DC or a backup tape you
have lost the original domain and have no choice.
