Problem accesing shared folders in Win2k from XP

Cbayardo

Hi, I have a network with one domain controller running win2K Server and one
PDC running Windows NT Server 4.0. We just installed the Win2K server. And
this server is in a new domain. We will call it Domain A. The NT server is
in Domain B.All the workstations have Win98, except for a few WinXP Pro
workstations. When I moved all the Win98 PC to the new Domain A, everything
worked ok. But when I moved the XP workstation from Domain B to Domain A, I
have a lot of problems communicating with the Win2K Server. I connect to a
Shared Folder and it works very slow. But when I restart the PC it does not
connect anymore. Are there any setting to change besides changing the Domain
in the Computer Properties?

Thanks

Make sure the XP client is configured to use the DNS server that contains
the AD records for the domain (probably the Win2K DC) and NOT configured to
use an ISP DNS server.
