I'm not sure if I am posting in the correct newsgroups, but I'll try here &
one other.

Yesterday, a friend installed MS WinXP Office Small Business 2002 on his PC
and now when he tries to access his e-mail (Outlook Express 6) from IE, it
automatically default to MS Outlook. The only way he can access his OE
account is by clicking on the OE icon on his desktop.
Is there any way to make his browser access his OE account?
He has IE & OE 6 and WinXP SP2
Thank you

Hi CB :-)

Try the following and see if it helps:

Tools>Internet Options>Programs tab
There are a series of windows. He they can set the programs they want to be
the defaults. They can set the default for OE in the E-Mail window, and
saame for newsgroups, or whichever one they prefer.
Then click Apply and OK out

Close IE and see if it works.

If these steps do not resolve your problem, please post back to this thread
with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps

Jan :)
