Priority of running processes

I am wondering if there is a way in windows 2000 to
permenantly set the base priority of a program so that
whenever it launches, it goes to that preset priority.

Can this be done in the registry? Please advise.

You can use start command in a shell script; something like
start "" /low "some program"
start /?
for the syntax

Andrew,
I'm totally new to this, but just a few minutes ago, I was
looking at my 'Window Task Manager'>Processes tab, and I
right-click to one of the listed names, and it gave me a
submenu with the option of setting priorities.

I don't know if that is what you are looking for, as I'm
not sure if this would only give a temporary priority to a
process and you need something more permanent.

But eh!... here are my 5 cents worth! :)

Rocio
