Priority of Network Startup?

Is there some way to get XP to startup my Network (card?) very early
in the logon process vs later?

My (wireless PCMCIA) network seems to hook up last in the startup
process (or it just takes a long time to hook up... which is odd
because it's the same network all the time and I sit 10 feet from the
router).

But, this causes some other processes/stream in the startup that
depend on the network drives to fail to hook up.

Thanks,

It's not a good idea to start your network connection before your
anti-virus or firewall starts.
