Printing stops with USB to Serial adapter

It turns out I have that same driver already. Although there is a 13 hr
difference between the time stamps of the driver file (exactly 13 hrs), the
content of both the driver files and the .inf files match byte for byte.

And yes - I had no problems finding the port settings in Device Manager, but
also found that when defining a printer on the port, the printer's port
configuration settings did not "track" those settings automatically. It has
been a while since I worked with serial printers (it was on NT4) so I'm not
sure if they are supposed to on a Windows 2000 system.

fwiw, timestamp "problems" like that are usually tied to your Time Zone
setting.

Yes, I know. But the timestamp differences were between the driver on the
CD delivered with the product compared with the one inside the downloaded
ZIP file - both checked on the same system (with the correct timezone (EST)
set). I assumed that the difference was probably a result of someone else
copying the files/producing the ZIP file or CD or both with an incorrect
timezone, but I performed a binary comparison to be on the safe side.
